What began as a small part-time venture in customizations, blog headers and bug fixes transformed into a full-time business with a variety of clients all over the United States. After falling in love with WordPress and the amazing degree of customizations and possibilities it offers, I founded Mike Lazear Design in 2008. Today, I manage, maintain, and build a variety of sites, promoting and showcasing the work of small businesses, authors, educators musicians and corporations.
I am continually amazed at the transformation of the web, especially in the past few years. More than ever before, social networking, content management systems and web technologies have made it possible for website owners to manage and edit their own site content, making updates and changes to their sites as they see fit.
That’s where WordPress comes in. I build the site and you take over from there, using the intuitive interface WordPress offers. Now, editing the content on your website is no more difficult than writing a memo on your favorite word processing program. I have been in love with programming since I was seven – back in the days when I would design games in BASIC on my Apple IIGS computer. I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota (2004) and currently reside in the Tucson, Arizona area.
